RAN II

In Late 2010, when Shockwave (Alfa III) was sold, Wade had not even handed her over when he was approached by Niklas and Catherine Zenstrom to run their newly crowned Mini Maxi World Champion for the up and coming Sydney to Hobart.
Wade only accepted this job for 5 months as the Volvo Ocean Race was his dream but his time with RAN II resulted in a return shipping from Europe run by Wade, a partial refit including a respray and a reshuffle of the shore based assets.
No trophy this race but a 6th on handicap in a race dominated by smaller boats was a great achievement all the same.
